GLIZCEL DITTO

GLIZCEL DITTO is very excited to be back at Stages this summer as the offical "camp mom"!  She is probably best known in theater circles as Josh, Gabi and Joah's mom.  Glizcel's involvement in Stages began in 2005 when her oldest son joined the Stages family and performed in Oklahoma! while her husband, Jeff, helped out with sets and tech crew.  Since then, Stages has become a summer home for the Ditto family.  Summer 2010 will mark Glizcel's 7th production with Stages and promises not to be her last.

In addition to working at Stages during camp and productions, Glizcel sits on the Board of Directors.  You will also find her volunteering her time around town helping out with other theater companies such as Young Artists Ensemble and Cabrillo Musical Theatre.  She has been blessed to have been involved in productions of Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Peter Pan, Oklahoma!, Thouroughly Modern Millie, High School Musical, Bye Bye Birdie, The King and I, and most recently helped to produce Music Man Jr., The Christmas Angel, 7th & Schwartz and Suessical Jr.

Outside of the theater world, Glizcel spends many hours working at her church as an assistant to the Director of Music and Liturgy, a choir member, a cantor as well as teaching and assisting with Faith Formation classes at the pre-school, elementary, junior high and high school levels.  She has recently added concert production to her credits working with Rock 4 Christ helping to bring Christian artists into Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.  In her "spare time," she works as a Business Systems Consultant for various Fortune 500 clients.

When asked how she can devote so much time and energy into Stages, Glizcel says "Stages has opened the door to an opportunity for our family to do something together that we all love and enjoy so much.  Not only is our whole family involved, but Stages has become an extension of our family.  They're all my kids and they all make me proud!"
